Santa Cruz Metro is celebrating Earth Day with free bus rides and events
If you plan on being in Santa Cruz this weekend, the Santa Cruz Metro is celebrating Earth Day with free bus rides. All fixed-route, ParaCruz and highway 17 Express services will be free for the day, hopefully reminding everyone of how easy it is to be more conscious of our emissions and daily waste.
The bus rides will also help transport people to numerous events around the city. The Abbot Square area will feature live music, face painting, a Photo Booth, and plenty of food. The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History is granting free admission. A Maker’s Market will be held at Hotel Paradox and Upper San Lorenzo Park, featuring local artists presenting their work.
More events can be found on the Santa Cruz Earth Day website.
Free bus rides and all events will be on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd (tomorrow, if you’re reading this on the day it gets sent out).
