The event gives participants the option to run a selection of trails or participate virtually. Each event takes place on a different trail and range from 2.4 miles to 21 miles. The goal of the event is to achieve 10,000 miles traveled collectively. All proceeds goes towards the Trust’s mission. You can find more information about the events, including which categories will be recognized and awarded, and sign up for runs here.
The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History announced its digital events for April. The events were created to allow people to continue to enjoy the museum even through shelter-in-place protocols. Each digital event focuses on a different subject, ranging from the monarch butterflies to dinosaurs. The events are meant for kids and teens, though anyone can enjoy the content. A particular event to look out for is on April 22. The event features a research technician from the Monterey Bay Aquatic Research Institute who will talk about marine algae. The event also offers a wine and cheese combination for $40 which includes delivery.
