A real treasure hunt started this week in Santa Cruz. Also, a Salinas native makes it to her second olympic games.
A real treasure hunt with a prize of $1,000 started in Santa Cruz on Thursday.
The game is called “The Official Treaaure Hunt” and it has its own Instagram account and website. The Hunt organizers created the contest to hopefully add some adventure to peoples’ lives and give them a reason to get outdoors, especially after having been locked down for so long. The first clue was: “a place fit for a queen, can you smell what he’s cooking?” Organizers will be releasing clues regularly until the prize is found. Salinas softball player is headed to her second Olympic Games
Monica Abbott will be playing in her second Olympic Games as softball returns for the first time in thirteen years. This time, the process will be a little different; the team will be housed in a military base where they will live and practice due to COVID restrictions. The team will practice against Japanese pro teams before their first official game against Italy on July 21.
