This Week on the Central Coast
As car week continues to its finale on Sunday, PG announced its Food and Wine event and a Salinas runner came up with a creative way to race during the pandemic.
Flavors of Pacific Grove Food and Wine Event announced for 2021
The Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual event again this year. Several well-known PG restaurants will be featured, as well as some newcomers to the event: Mai Thai Cuisine and The Grill at Point Pinos.
The event will be on Thursday, September 30 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Tickets are available at the link and are $60 per person. They include a $10 coupon that is good for any of the participating restaurants.
“Race the Commons”: Pandemic Safe Races
Tired of the lack of races during the pandemic, a Salinas runner has come up with a solution. Race the Commons allows runners to race trails at different times. Additionally, half of the race registration fee gets donated to local charities, such as the Big Sur Land Trust and the Elkhorn Slough Foundation.
The next race will be in October and you can register here, if interested.
